People can't figure out what the hell is happening in this photo

Some pictures are worth a thousand words. For other pictures, there are no words.

A cursed image of well, of something, has been making the rounds on Twitter recently. Upon first glance, it seems to be a hodgepodge of items. Stare at it for more than a couple of seconds, though, and it quickly descends into murkier territory.

The caption is a simple challenge: "Name one thing in this photo." Except it's not easy. It's a game that sets you up to fail.

My guess? It's a botched panoramic photo of a pile of junk and whoever originally posted it is laughing heartily somewhere, surrounded by stuffed foxes and biblical jewelry displays. Those are jewelry displays, right?!

But the people have (regrettably) seen the photo and they're speaking. Here are their words:

I'm not sure what "guelves" are but I see them, too.

This photo is everything and nothing at the same time.

One user came up with a more realistic rendering of the photo, which gave me at least five seconds of relief.

Yes, now that you've said it, this photo doestaste like pennies.

Simlish has only existed in audio form... until now.

Kind of looks like an animated Wes Anderson character if you squint. No, really! Try it.

It's ok, Valeri, we've all failed.

A TinEye photo search of 35.6 billion images couldn't locate the mind-bending pic:

A Google image search proved to be a little more helpful, and we managed to trace the image back to Jan. 2019, where it was posted without context on 4chan as a cursed image. Given its quality, however, the photo is likely older.

One Redditor claimed the photo is "is designed to give the viewer the simulated experience of having a stroke" in the subreddit r/interestingasfuck on Tuesday, though it's unclear if that's actually true.

All I know is that pouring over the pages ofI Spy as a kid never could have prepared me to see that.
